What AubeQRC does with your content

The content you type (address, Wi-Fi network, contact card, and so on) is sent to our server solely to render the QR image, for the live preview and the exports, then returned to you. Without an account, nothing you type is stored. With an AubeMail account, only the QR codes you explicitly save (name, content, style) and the files you upload for “file” QR codes are kept, until you delete them.

Data we process

• Without an account: no content is kept; standard technical logs (IP address, date, requested page) are retained briefly for security and rate limiting.
• With an AubeMail account: your Aube username, your session, your saved QR codes and uploaded files.
• Dynamic QR codes: each scan records the date and a coarse device type (phone, desktop, tablet, bot). No IP address and no location are ever recorded.
• Email sending: the recipient address you enter is used only to send that one email.

Android app permissions

• Camera: to scan QR codes. Decoding happens entirely on the device; scanned content is never sent to our server.
• Photos: only the images you pick are read, to decode a QR or to place a logo.

What we never do

• No advertising, no third-party trackers, no analytics.
• Your data is never sold, rented or shared with third parties.
• All transfers use HTTPS.

Retention and deletion

Saved QR codes, their scan statistics and uploaded files remain until you delete them from your library, which removes them permanently. Deleting a dynamic QR also disables its short link. Accounts are managed by AubeMail, the ecosystem's identity service.

Cookies

A session cookie keeps you signed in, a “lang” cookie remembers your language, and the theme is stored in your browser. No advertising cookie of any kind.

Under Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information (Law 25), you may access, correct or delete your personal information. Write to support@aubemail.com. Material changes to this policy will be posted on this page.
